Sad news today concerning the passing of Phil Chevron aged 56. Best known for being guitarist in the Pogues he was also in Dublin punk band the Radiators who formed in 1976 and are credited as being one of the earliest punk bands. The Radiators disbanded in 1981 and reformed in 2004 and went on to release two further albums under the moniker the Radiators From Space. I was lucky enough to get a copy of their last album released 2012, a covers record called Sound City Beat and their version of Gloria (live version here) is taken from that.
